The most common problem is belly fat that is gained from the stomache stretching to make room for the unborn child. Losing the belly fat can be very hard depending on your motivation and ability to follow through with your goals, but you can start losing the belly fat in as little as 30 days..

Some new mothers want to rush into trimming the baby fat, they feel that the sooner they start the sooner they will see results. Truth is though, this isn't a good idea. Its important that your body heals completely after you give birth, this way your excersises and activities actually help burn calories instead of just hruting your body and irritating internal wounds that have not fully healed. You definetely want to heal first so you may want to consult a doctor so they can enlighten you on your potential to excersise without damaging yourself..

Try to do at least 10 elevator excercises a day, this is a great start. Sit in a chair with one hand over your navel and one hand under you. Inhale deeply into your abdomen, expanding your mid-section fully. Then exhale through your nose very slowly while pulling your belly button in toward your backbone. Do five small squeezes (pulling your belly button back toward your spine). Repeat. You must talk to your doctor before doing this exercise. If your body isn't ready for it, you could do yourself far more harm than good.

Another exercise, similar to the elevator exercise is called, simply, contraction. Sit in the same chair, with one hand above your belly button and one hand below your belly button. Breathe in to expand your stomach and then bring it back to the halfway point. Exhale while pulling your belly button in and then squeeze your belly and hold that position for a second. Release and expand your belly back to its halfway point. Do 100 of these each day and you'll see your baby belly fat reduced in no time!

You also want to make sure to eat as healthy a diet as you possibly can. If you are breastfeeding, you will be burning plenty of calories, so you don't have to worry about counting anything, but make sure that the calories you do take in are from healthy foods.

You need to make sure to eat a balanced diet--preferably one that you work out with your doctor and is beneficial to both you and your baby. Remember, when you breastfeed, whatever you eat, your baby eats!

Obviously, right after giving birth, any exercise you do needs to be low impact. Your body is still fragile so you don't want to do anything that will endanger your health! Make sure that you talk to your doctor about any exercise plan you are thinking of starting up. Together the two of you will decide on an exercise plan that will help you lose your baby weight and lose your baby belly fat without putting too much strain on you and your body.
